Does your child dream of hitting it big on Broadway? Help turn his or her dreams into reality with some guidance from the true professionals at the Roslyn Theatre Company. This well-respected troupe was founded by two professional actors who saw the need for a local children’s theater company led by working actors with experience and expertise. Artistic Director Jordan Leeds has spent 22 years in the professional spotlight, and continues to work On Broadway and Off, on television and in films, and producing director Jill Studley studied at the Tisch School of the Arts and has acted and directed children’s community theatre. The two joined forces over three years ago to create this exciting company. Each director teaches classes throughout the week, including instruction in musical theatre, monologue work, scene study, commercials, and audition classes. They also alter classes to fit the requests of students and their parents, from musical theatre classes and vocal coaching for adults to visits from well-known casting agents in the business. At the end of the fall/winter and winter/spring semesters, the troupe puts on a free recital showcasing their skills.
