Sony Wonder Technology Lab is a FREE hands-on technology and entertainment museum located in the heart of New York City. Explore four floors of one-of-a-kind exhibits and discover the evolution of technology as you travel through the communications bridge, jam with music artists, produce your own movie preview and even create a video game. Check out HDTV in the top quality 73-seat theater. This year’s tour theme for the Technology Lab is “Interactive Technologies: Make the Connection.” On guided or self-guided tours, students learn how technology plays a role in music, movies, robotics, gaming and more. Guided school visits are available for children in grades 3-12 or at equivalent learning levels from October through June. Sony Wonder Technology Lab’s group activities relate to NYC-mandated standards in applied learning, language arts, mathematics and science. Programs also relate to state-mandated standards for the arts, career development and occupational studies, mathematics, science, technology, and English/language arts. The Lab also offers free and low-cost programs including screenings, hands-on workshops, special presentations and more. Visit the Web site to learn more about unique events, school tours, teacher workshops and other ways to integrate technology into your curriculum. All exhibits are wheelchair accessible and sign language tours are available. Plan your hi-tech visit today!
