Thomas School of Horsemanship is a family owned and operated business celebrating over 50 years of service on Long Island. Today, many former campers and riders are creating a family tradition by sending their own children and grandchildren to Thomas School. Year-round programs are available for adults and children ages 5 and up, including 10-week sessions of private and group riding lessons. Both beginner and advanced lessons are offered. The Summer Day Camp, for children ages 3-15, specializes in horses but also prides itself on providing an equally strong emphasis on a quality swim and sports program. Thomas School offers an Equine Study program for intermediate riders 9 years of age or older at the end of August and during other school holidays. In addition, Thomas School offers monthly horse shows, outrageous birthday party packages, boarding for privately-owned horses, and educational trips for school and scouts. A special feature is the facility’s horse leasing policy, in which riders experience the joys and thrills of “owning” their own Thomas School horse! Call for details.
