The West Side Tennis Club is offering afterschool tennis programs for juniors of all ages and ability. Former home of the U.S. Open and historic training site for many of the county’s top players, it has now developed the best afterschool program in the Metropolitan/Long Island area. Come and join either the Excel Junior Program, which is geared towards younger or beginner level players, or join the Elite Program and become a part of the Tournament Training Team. You can choose from a one-hour or a one-and-a- half hour class any day, Monday-Saturday. The program is personally directed by Bob Ingersole, who is a former top 100 player and who has decades of experience running tennis programs and coaching beginner through nationally ranked players alike. Day-to-day operations are handled by Thomas Gilliland, who was the number 1 ranked junior at The West Side for three years, and who is currently a USTA Eastern National Coach.
