Modeled after the college experience in terms
of allowing campers to select their skill-based
classes— from arts to sports-related fare,
while also connecting campers with diverse friends
of all ages and interests, Camp Nashoba North
grants campers incredible opportunities to grow
in the structured, supportive atmosphere. Located
in scenic Maine, Camp Nashoba North has sports
facilities for everything from tennis and soccer
to archery and rock climbing; a crystal lake for
a strong water sports program for activities such
as sailing and waterskiing, windsurfing and canoeing;
and one of the best horseback riding programs
in the east coast, with intelligent horses and
ponies to maintain the enriching, active program.
About 190 boys and girls attend Camp Nashoba North,
20 percent with their siblings, and all have an
option to stay for four, seven or eight-week sessions.
All campers have three majors and two minors,
enabling children to hone their interests and
explore other skills. A camper majoring in arts
& crafts may select specific areas like tie
dye and copper enameling each week, while still
having time to sample activities including dance,
woodworking and animal care, just to name a few.
Evening fun from trivia and casino nights to lip
syncs and recitals round out the fulfilling camp
experience at Camp Nashoba North. |
