The Emma Willard School presents GirlSummer, a fantastic academic enrichment program for girls. The school in historic Troy, NY, located just outside of the New York State Capitol of Albany, welcomes rising 7th-11th grade girls to participate in small classes led by smart, enthusiastic teachers. GirlSummer is a terrific opportunity for young girls to grow both academically and socially, which is why the program has sold out for the past four years. Each session is two weeks long (Session 1: June 29-July 11, Session 2: July 13-25, Session 3: July 27-August 8). GirlSummer is dedicated to providing an exciting and stimulating academic environment, based on the philosophy that fun and learning go hand-in-hand in the summer. Young women come together— from across the world— to focus on five areas of development: learning, exploration, personal growth, friend-ships, and fun while living at one of the most prestigious independent schools in the country: Emma Willard School. This year’s courses are Creative Writing Workshops, Astronomy, Spanish Language and Culture, French Language and Culture, Scandals and Mystery, ESL, Mock Trial, Model UN, Social Computing, Performing Arts and Fine Arts.
