The Gow School, founded in 1926, is the oldest college preparatory school in the United States for young men with language-based learning differences such as dyslexia. Over the years, the internationally renowned boarding school has grown to meet the needs of its students and teachers. In addition to small classes, the school offers a wide range of traditional curricular programs as well as art, drama and music. During late June and July, the school’s summer program combines five weeks of learning with fun for boys and girls, ages 8-16! The camp program includes weekend trips, white water rafting, backpacking, a focus on visual arts and an extensive sports program. The recently completed Fine Arts Center houses the Simms Family Theater, two technology labs, three art studios, an instrumental and vocal music lab and the BattleBots IQ Design Shop. The 50,000-square-foot Gow Center, complete with hardwood basketball court, two indoor tennis courts, a large multipurpose room, four international squash courts and a state of the art fitness center and student lounge are the pride of the campus. The school offers a balanced blend of morning academics, afternoon and evening traditional camp activities and weekend overnight trips for teens. The primary purpose of the program is to provide a successful experience for campers throughout their stay. The summer school and camp staff is committed to creating a positive time for every camper.
