The Summer Program is situated on Sippican Harbor,
just ten miles from the Bourne and Sagamore bridges
or a short boat ride to Cape Cod. As would be
expected, the Program has excellent sailing (beginning
to advanced levels), swimming and oceanology components.
The Program also offers academics for enrichment,
with a class size between three and nine students,
and periods which are 70 minutes in length. The
course selections include exploratory and environmental
science courses, computer science (three levels),
mathematics (all levels), English, French, Spanish,
study skills, theater arts and ESL (three levels).
In addition, Tabor offers a wide variety of instructional
sports such as tennis (with USTA certified instructors),
volleyball, flag football, field hockey, squash,
soccer (semi pro players as instructors), baseball
(minor league players as instructors), drama,
ultimate frisbee, kayaking and lacrosse. In the
evenings, the boarding campers have various activities
including Dorm Nights on Wednesdays and Port &
Starboard (intra-camp games and competitions)
on Mondays and Thursdays. On weekends, the boarding
campers go to local attractions such as sports
events, museums and amusement parks. And Saturdays,
on campus, offerings include cooking classes,
dance, advanced sailing, tennis, and squash.
