Founded in 1884, the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts numbers among its alumni Grace Kelly, Robert Redford and Christine Ebersole, as well as Adrien Brody and Anne Hathaway, former Saturday Program students. Starting October 6, the Academy will begin its very popular Saturday Program, offering the same high quality training as its full-time program. The Saturday Program provides basic and advanced pre-teen courses in voice and speech, movement and acting for ages 8-12 in which a child will encounter a creative outlet or, if so inclined, a path to a career in acting. Basic and advanced teen courses, for ages 13 to 17, develop the student actor’s technique and focus. Basic and advanced adult courses for ages 18 and up offer this age group an opportunity to begin or change career paths or enjoy a hobby with new friends. E-mail saturday@ny.aada.org or call (212)686-9244 to arrange an interview/audition. Act now!
