PowerScore offers students different ways to prepare for their SATs, which lends their courses an advantage over others. Learning methods are tailored to suit each student and they include full-length classes taught over a period of 46 hours, weekend courses that last six hours each day and individual tutoring sessions. PowerScore offers a student-driven medium for teaching that highlights the individual. Curriculums are set and involve workbooks, lesson plans, reviews and practice tests. Custom courses are also available, and students can even start their own SAT groups with a minimum of nine other students and receive a full scholarship for setting up the custom course. Instructors at PowerScore come from all over the United States and consist of college professors and students, lawyers, business owners and more. All instructors must have scored in the 95th or higher percentile on an actual SAT-- a provision that other test-preparation companies do not always require.
