Taking the fear out of
learning and instilling a love of learning
in its place, Ronni Ramirez successfully
tutors children ages 9 and up in French
by maintaining a dedicated attitude and
a nurturing approach. Ronni’s experience
as a scholar, teacher, translator and mother
enhances her positive outlook and methodology.
On the road to attaining a bachelor’s
degree in French literature, Ronni studied
for two years in France and acquired a certificate
pratique. After receiving her bachelor’s,
she worked as an assistant French teacher
at P.S. 158 in Manhattan and then as a French
translator at Sotheby’s for various
clients. Though Ronni’s French training
and her jobs, which required extensive interpersonal
skills, influenced her tutoring philosophy,
it was while helping her daughter with homework
that Ronni developed such an encouraging
approach to tutoring. She saw how daunted
kids today seemed by school, and has brought
the fun back in education. During one-on-one
tutoring sessions, Ronni discovers the root
of children’s academic frustrations
and teaches proven "tricks of the trade"
to enable children to comprehend everything
from French verbs and syntax to culture.
