The options are endless for tweens and teens at the Mid-Island Y Jewish Community Center in Plainview! From basketball and roller hockey leagues to dodgeball tournaments, Saturday night lounge parties, swim team, guitar, drum and songwriting lessons, fitness, aquatics, babysitting, cooking, clay molding and stone carving classes, there is truly something fun for everyone. Awesome day trips to Great Adventure and New York City, and longer getaways to such places as Vermont for skiing give teens the opportunity to have a blast with their pals in a supervised setting. A Building Future Leaders program teaches teens in grades 6-8 about leadership, teamwork, skill development, community service, Jewish values and more. Once a teen graduates from BFL, a Teens As Leaders program takes the leadership-building to a higher level with more community service, fundraising and leadership skill development. Also available to teens are standardized test review classes for the SAT, SAT II, AP and Regents. Visit the Web site or stop by the Mid-Island Y JCC to learn more about the multitude of classes, programs and events for tweens and teens all year long.
